1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DevOpsArsenal at https://devopsarsenal.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

DevOpsArsenal provides a collection of free, browser-based utility tools for DevOps engineers, cloud architects and software developers (the "Tools"). The Service includes:

• 50+ developer utility tools (JWT decoder, CIDR calculator, password generator, etc.)
• A DevOps tool comparison engine
• Reference documentation, blog articles and educational content

Client-side processing: All Tools process data locally in your browser using JavaScript. No data you enter into the Tools is transmitted to our servers. The Service is provided free of charge, supported by advertising revenue from Google AdSense.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for any lawful personal or commercial purpose, including:

• Using the Tools for professional development work
• Referencing our documentation and articles in your own work (with attribution)
• Sharing links to individual tools or pages
• Saving tool pages locally for offline use

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Automated scraping or crawling: Use bots, spiders or automated scripts to systematically download or scrape all content from the site beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt
• Infrastructure abuse: Deliberately attempt to overload, disrupt or interfere with the Service through denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated requests
• Reverse engineering: Attempt to extract, reproduce or commercially resell our content, tools or design as a competing product without significant modification
• Illegal use: Use the Tools to facilitate illegal activities, including creating malware, cracking credentials you do not own, or generating content that violates applicable law
• Ad circumvention: Systematically block, circumvent or interfere with advertisements in ways beyond standard personal ad-blockers
• False representations: Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation while using the Service

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding tool outputs), features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of DevOpsArsenal and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

Tool outputs: Content generated by the Tools (formatted JSON, generated passwords, calculated values, etc.) is yours to use freely without restriction. We claim no ownership over outputs generated from your inputs.

Open standards: Our tools implement open standards (RFC specifications, IETF protocols, cloud provider public APIs). We do not claim any rights over these standards.

6. Disclaimers & Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, tool outputs (cloud cost estimates, latency calculations, SLA calculations, etc.) are approximations and should not be relied upon for critical production decisions without independent verification.
• Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
• Security tool outputs: Generated passwords, hashes and keys should be validated independently before use in production security systems.
• Professional advice: No content on DevOpsArsenal constitutes legal, financial, security or professional advice. Consult qualified professionals for critical decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEVOPSARSENAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any errors or inaccuracies in tool outputs
• Decisions made based on information from the Service
• Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS (WHICH, SINCE THE SERVICE IS FREE, IS ZERO).

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless DevOpsArsenal and its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

9. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Some tools make direct API calls to third-party services (Cloudflare DNS, ipapi.co) from your browser. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.
